<lj:music>Priceless - Copeland</lj:music>

313 is awesome: "the world shall be jealous as we bask in the glory of our success and awesomeness". The conversation on MSN now is killing me. I am choking on apple juice!

Directions:
1. Grab the nearest book.
2. Open the book to page 123.
3. Find the fifth sentence.
4. Post the text of the next 4-7 sentences on your LJ along with these instructions.
5. Don't you dare dig for that "cool" or "intellectual" book in your closet! I know you were thinking about it! Just pick up whatever is closest (unless it's too troublesome to reach and is really heavy. Then go back to step 1).
6. Tag five people.

He trundled away through the woods, the cries of amphibian anguish receding behind him. Served them right, he though, sadly and a little bitterly.

King Log has retired to a villa in the Alps, where he is at present sprouting a fine crop of shitake mushrooms and working on his memoirs, one word at a time. Logs write slowly, and log kings more slowly than most. He has engaged a meditation guru who encourages him to visualise himself as a large pencil, but he can only get as far as the eraser.

He misses the old days.

King Log In Exile, from The Tent by Margaret Atwood. Coincidentally, my bookmark was just at page 123 before I did this quiz. Aha, awesome.

i love 313. yes! our shunxinyuan haunted house was such a success. and we're not bad considering we were rushing everything just last night. but hurrah, people! 640+ dollars! and it was superly fun. anyway.

the next time you do a haunted house, try to classify the people that come in into the following categories. follow me here:

- the superscared people: walk into haunted house all happy and laughing and acting tough. and then the moment the door closes, they walk 2m further and burst into tears. i think i counted a total of 3 people who burst into tears midway.

- the refuse to move people: they have a strange refusal to move or budge or walk. walk in halfway and start screaming about how they want to go out. then turn in the other direction and attempt to walk back, if not they hang around in the centre and stone. and hence, end up wasting everyone's time. baaahhhh.

- the innerd-smearing people: who prod my pig innerds and then smear it on either my pants or victoria's labcoat. baaahhhh.

- the act tough people: who keep laughing and pretending they're not scared. and the moment you make a sudden movement they start screaming and running. baaahhhh.

- the destruction machines: who march around and walk straight into tables and close-to-destroy our partitions. like some fucking marching band in a haunted house.

- the screamy people: who, in my opinion, are kind of psycho. they scream every 5 seconds.

- the tourists: A) i am not all that photogenic, no need to take any photos of me B) are pig and chicken innards that appealing to you that you must keep photos of them as mementos?!?!??!?!?!11one!

- the blind: YES LA WAHLAO THE INTESTINES ARE REAL MEAT. NOT KETCHUP OR RUBBER *HEADDESK*

- the plain mindfucked stupid people: thank you for harassing my intestines and my bare feet. and no, i did not find it funny. it is neither humorous nor intellectual to attempt to tickle a dead person's bare feet. i hope the kick to your stomach caused you some major injury (i.e kidney failure). that is all i have to say.

And this...

- INTESTINES, ZOMGZXXX! What it actually was: pig liver + red paint + chicken slices. it was cold, clammy and disgusting. but more than anything it stank. Now I think i am going to permanently smell pig liver. if anyone was wondering, i was forced into doing this! yea, but i'm not complaining. it was a pretty easy job. my tailbone kind of hurts from lying on the table for the whole fucking span of funfair.

- INTERVALS! in which the bunch of crazy people (who were not weighed down by intestines on their stomachs) gathered in a circle and started dancing to 'Irreplacable' by Beyonce or some other song playing on the PA system outside.

- music video moments. They played Welcome To The Black Parade on the PA system outside and I felt like the fucking Patient. We would have fit into the music video! Except they're a lot more glamorous and less bloody.

- makeup was kind of scary. but tracy is extremely good at it (thanks tracy!) and we ended up all having blobs of eyeliner and running lipstick. Except elysia. she looked like someone out of star wars. I shall not disclose the details as to who it was who caused her serious make up disorder. hahahaha.

- SO MR TAN WAS SO OBVIOUSLY FREAKED OUT.

- for some strange reason, i dont know why, everyone's ultimately just so scared by elysia even though she just stands there and goes 'boo!'.

- $640+ (!!!)

- we must do haunted house again next year.

p/s: SING FEST 150 BUCKS FOR ONE DAY PASS. AAAAAAA WTF.

i. "I just wanted to show him my canons!"
Watched Transformers last night. It is the shit, man. I am a fan. Meganwhatserface is still sluttish. Shia LaBeouf is still babyfaced. I think the autobots are cool beyond all logic and reason. (Bumblebee's a fucking Chevy, and Optimus Prime is one crazy hippie truck.) Also, Simmons reminds me of Gabe. In a the-dude's-totally-off-his-rocker way. I know no one agrees with this, but I think Gabe just gives me weird vibes all the time (in the best way possible *g*) Right. Plus, I like the dude who hangs from trees. I am so going to watch this movie again, who wants to come with?

Oh, in the process they showed The Simpsons Movie and Harry Potter trailers. I am determined to watch The Simpsons Movie, no matter what. Caught a glimpse of simpsonised Mike Dirnt. They did a pretty good job. And ohmygod, spiderpig:

Marge: Hang on, why are there pig tracks on the ceiling?
Homer: Spiderpig, spiderpig, does whatever, a spiderpig can!

ii. Chinese SIA + KAP + funfair shizz
Went to Margaux's house for Chinese SIA today (Miao, Lynn, Luk Wern, Yixian & I). We ended up sitting around pouring over cookbooks and trying to prevent miao from playing trashy music off iTunes. I am just glad that chinese SIA presentation isn't all that soon. It is less screwed than all my other SIAs! *jumpjump*

Then we went to KAP for lunch despite Margaux warning us of McDonald's chicken being 60% skin or something like that. Yixian was sad. (stupid air diet didnt work la you!) Miao is immature. S'all I can say.

Jump to us being in school for funfair. The turnout was kind of less than what I expected, but at least there were people *g* We killed YenJin's barbie dolls. Named them Amy and Uncle&Auntie Avril. Say 'hi' to Amy when you guys reach school tomorrow and see her hanging on our front door. Haaa. Anyway, the neighbors called because we were blasting obnoxiously loud music off youtube. Oops. (I think everyone loves the idlu video.) And such. A lot of other random things. The paint still can't come off my nails.

iii. After school, eye checkup, whatnot
I felt weird today. Kind of not-really-all-there weird. Like gravity wasn't really working on my brain or something. But anyway. Thought a lot about things (this is how I occupy my time on bus rides), and as usual came to almost no conclusion. Bah, whatever. We've got the dreamer's disease, "the AMERICAN dayDREAMer" and things like that. It's pretty stupid and not worth noting. But you can't help but note on change.

AND THEN. Met my mom to go see about my eye again. reviewreview. I was pretty dazed and ended up waiting for her on the wrong side of the road. Remember Maine does such things to you. Or something. Bah. Anyway, my eye is fine. I don't have the TB thing. It will recur, it will happen again, then I will be in complete distress, and thus go see the doctor, and go get eyedrops, and be told of how it might be TB, and the i'll go get better, and see the doctor for a review, and it will recur, and it will happen again. Rinse. Lather. Fucking repeat.

Like I said, i love my life. Go sell fire in hell and I'll sell clouds in heaven. Or wherever fuckers like us go.

...why do I not have Bulls In Brooklyn on my computer?

And I just can't decide when it comes to questions such as this.

Q: Who is your favorite band member of #1 [Anberlin]?
A: I'm going to be a sick teenie here and say Nate. A) He's gorgeous. B) He's crazy. C) He's all kinds of awesome. (I also like Deon a lot tho)

Q: What is a good memory concerning #4 [Taking Back Sunday]?
A: Bunnies. Golf buggies. Snot hanging from Adam's nose. Mic accident leaving Matt Rubano with stitches in his head. Mark's SYTYCD audition video clip. Fred's Led Zeppelin underwear. "ESTUPID!" a la Ed. Plenty, yeah.

Q: What does #9 remind you of [Jack's Mannequin]?
A: Piano keys, lime juice and a lot of other simplebutsweet things.

Q: Is there a song by #3 that makes you sad [The Academy Is...]?
A: "Everything We Had", obv. & strangely enough, "Toasted Skin" makes me feel sad in some strange way. It's like, reminiscent.

Q: What is your favorite song of #1 [Anberlin]?
A: "(*Fin)", at the moment. I can't give a reason. Probably because of the lyrics on that song and how much meaning it holds.

Q: How did you become a fan of #7 [Copeland]?
A: After I went to their show a few weeks ago, they had me won over then and there man. It was amazing.

Q: What do you like to do while listening to #6 [Green Day]?
A: I'm usually on the bus like on the way home/to school when I listen to them. If I ever get the chance to I just rock out.

Q: Which of the 10 has influenced you the most?
A: Probably almost all. I'll have to say either MCR, FOB, TAI or Anberlin. Though my main vote goes to My Chemical Romance. I've listened to them for the longest time (not counting green day). They're just about the first band I listened to when I got into the scene. I've been mad in love with this band ever since. It's so ttly OST to my life right now. And things about this band (their vision, music all of that) make me realise things, about people, about myself and all of that. It's pretty inexplicable. But that's it.

Q: Which artist makes you the most happy?
A: MCR cos I like them the most and they're a bunch of happy people. And even though they're all like 25 or older, they're still like a bunch of happy crazy kids to me. They're too cute.

Q: Which artist makes you the most sad?
A: Copeland. Mostly because of their songs and the whole mood you get from them. "Beneath Medicine Tree" is heartbreaking.

Q: Which artist makes the best dance music?
A: The Academy Is/Fall Out Boy

Q: Which artist have you liked the longest?
A: Green Day. Have loved them ever since American Idiot (i know, youre thinking, what a poser, but i swear im not) and listening to them brings back a lot of good memories and things like that.

Q: Which artist have you liked the shortest?
A: Copeland, i only started liking after I went to their show.

Q: Are there any artists you will still be listening to in 20 years?
A: Those that'll still stick. Probably most of them.

Q: What are you listening to now?
A: "Naive Orleans" by Anberlin. Was previously listening to "Barely Audible" by Home (Nate's side project). You should really check out both Home and Anchor & Braille.
(jiawen said that there was once a boy who died of excessive blood loss from extracting 4 teeth at once. trish said i wouldnt be able to eat. and my sister just babbled a lot about how i'd be crazy to extract 4 teeth at once.) i got 3 jabs of anesthetic for my tooth extraction. so i cant feel my mouth, or my cheek, or the right side of my nose. i also dont realise when i start drooling. ugh. my braces are blue, btw, pretty cool.

---

ha. but anyway, to quote stephen:

i was watching a smith's DVD and one of the coolest things ever is when some people in the crowd fought (their) way on to stage just to hug morrissey, i thought that was the greatest thing i had ever seen. they weren't getting up on stage to show off or jump off, they were up there just to show the band how appreciative they were of the bands music. i'm so down with that, so if ever you feel the need to jump on stage just grab me, i'll never be mad.

so awh.

---

oh, and i'm going to do music recs: Take a listen to Copeland's Beneath Medicine Tree.
